American Government

Social Studies

This class was dedicated to studying the government of the United States of America: how it came to be in the 18th century, how it developed over the centuries, and how it functions today. This class blew away the fog that was my vague understanding of how the government worked, and turned the grand but unknown image of the government into one I could understand.

I learned about many topics I had previously known very little about, such as the difference between the state governments and the federal government, checks and balances, the role of each branch of government, federalism, and civil rights.

Oe of my tasks in this class was to be able to pass the U.S. citizenship test. I did it!
