For my capstone, I wrote a 50,000-word novel about a mid-19th century orphan adopted by a madman. I wanted to explore the genres of Gothic horror and romanticism. I researched and outlined the plot, committed to 1,000 words per day, and edited the novel (and no, you can’t see it here). 🙂
